These procedures are outstanding for those of us who want to look our best, all the time. They are performed in the office under a local anesthesia. We offer Eye, Lip Liner/ Full Lip Tint, and Eye Brow treatments. The process is fairly simple; a local anesthetic is injected in to the area where the micro pigment is to be placed. Then tiny "dots" of a natural pigment are meticulously placed to the site.
This process can be used to camouflage scarring, add color to the areola area, give the appearance of a thicker eye lash or brow line, or for the purpose of simulating cosmetics. The procedures are relatively pain free and will result in very little down time. The patient should refrain from taking any medication that will contribute to bruising for several days prior to the procedure. The area where the pigment is placed should be kept very moist for several days following the initial treatment using ointment specified by your technician. You can ice the area immediately following treatment to reduce swelling. The lips will result in some swelling for the first several days and can be somewhat uncomfortable for a few days following the procedure.
Permanent Makeup is a very rewarding procedure. It is recommended for people who have difficulty applying cosmetics due to loss of vision, macular degeneration sufferers, and patients with Alopecia. Other people who truly benefit from this permanent procedure are those who lack artistic presence! Swimmers love it and it is an excellent option for the gym too.
