Repair of Earring Hole Tear
Sometimes, either due to injury or excessive use of very heavy earrings, the piercing in the ear can actually tear through. This is not attractive and prevents the patient from wearing earrings anymore.
Repairs can be made by excising the skin on the inside of the ear tear. Then, it is sutured back together. After healing, the patient can have the ears re-pierced (approximately 6 months later).
This is a somewhat simple procedure but it does take about 45 minutes to do one ear lobe. It can be done under a local anesthetic. It will have some sutures that have to be removed about 7 days after the procedure.
How much does it cost?
The cost will vary depending on if one or both ears need to be repaired at the same time. Please feel free to contact us for a free consultation at (800) 375-0134 or if in OKC (405) 691-3111
